New WEST SYSTEM Site Informs and Inspires Boat Builders

ATL Composites is proud to announce its new local website show-casing the WEST SYSTEM epoxy products.  It is now live on-line, with an array of improved functions for B2B and direct customers.

The site, www.westsystem.com.au delivers finger-tip navigation across the product range, which has been upgraded with the GHS (Globally Harmonised System) labelling system and new packaging.  There’s also a problem-solving section covering the most common issues and enquiries from customers, as well as an easy, dealer locator by postcode option.

“Our loyal customers will be able to access the latest product information, performance data, a glossary of basic techniques, terminology, tips and project case studies,” said Lorraine Murray, ATL Director.

“We’re sure the ease of navigation and thorough product and technical information on the WEST SYSTEM site will inspire professional boat builders and DIY owners to get the most out of their projects.”

The WEST SYSTEM product range comprises Epoxy Resin and Hardeners, Specialty Epoxies, Fillers, Additives, Reinforcements, Dispensing pumps, Application tools and Protective gear.  Available for downloading on the new site is a selection of user manuals, while an instructional DVD covering specific repair and construction applications can be requested from the ATL Technical team.

You can also download Epoxyworks magazine, providing insight into building, restoration and repair using WEST SYSTEM products on projects spanning yachting, automotive, architectural, decorative and other diverse applications.

GOUGEON BROTHERS INC./WEST SYSTEM Company President & CEO, Alan Gurski, said “ATL have been licensed manufacturers of WEST SYSTEM products for Australia and New Zealand since 1977, and over the past four decades we have formed a very strong alliance.  Our dear friends at ATL are outstanding human beings and business partners.  We are proud to be represented in Australasia by the ATL team.”

ATL Composites was established in New Zealand in 1977 by founder, Arnie Duckworth who saw a market for epoxy products to supply to the burgeoning marine industry and began manufacturing WEST SYSTEM epoxy products under license to Gougeon Brothers Inc, USA for the Asia Pacific region.

In 1980, ATL Composites expanded by opening a facility in Australia to service the professional boatbuilding market.  In 1989, the Australian operation re-located to Queensland and today, a comprehensive range of WEST SYSTEM products are manufactured in ATL in both New Zealand and Australia.  Since then, ATL Composites has enjoyed steady expansion in Australia for over 40 years and WEST SYSTEM distributors have been established throughout Asia.
